Discover the magic of sourdough breadmaking as we walk through all 4 stages of bread together!

You’ll leave class with two half loaves in stages 2 and 3 to bake at home. Plus some of your own sourdough starter to take home for future baking.

With the right tools and the right instructions, you’ll be well on your way to sourdough pro. For beginners and up!

Join me at the adorable Wine Down for a sweet session of bread exploration.

Step-by-step with a professional artist/baker/instructor who explains everything thoroughly and makes it fun to work on your bread skills!

We will cover:

  • starter + wet dough ingredients

  • stretch and fold method

  • bulk rise

  • shaping

  • final rise

  • scoring

  • taste testing and inspecting a baked loaf

Guaranteed seat tickets are on sale through May 16 or until sold out. Any extra spots will be available up until class time.

Class Description:

  1. We will work on each stage of unbaked bread making as a group, and discuss the final stage of baking while taste-testing a finished loaf.

  2. Class is approximately 1.5 hours in length. Class length may vary based on speed of students and may run over time.

  3. All materials are included, plus one complimentary sangria. Additional drinks and food are available for purchase.

  4. Please note who you want to sit with if multiple people are signing up individually.

  5. You’ll receive instructions and containers to take your practice loaves home to bake.

  6. A beginner sourdough recipe is included with your ticket purchase.

  7. We will meet at the Socorro wine bar, Wine Down - full of timeless allure and an amazing local, cozy vibe you won’t want to miss out on. 10245 Socorro Rd, Socorro TX 79927. Parking lot entrance is located on Buford St.

    Convenience:

    1. Each class is taught step by step by a trained instructor and baker. All questions will be answered during the class. Melissa has 16 years of professional experience baking professionally and 12 years of experience teaching creative classes.

    Clothing:

    1. Please wear appropriate clothing that can get messy. There is a possibility that your clothing or personal items may be stained if materials get on them.

    Cancelation Policy:

    If you have to cancel, please let me know via email or phone at least 24 hours in advance of class time to receive a refund. If you have to cancel less than 24 hours before class, contact me directly for instructions. If you are a no-show to class, you will not receive a refund or credit.
